EN - Music following the musical lifeline of a harpsichordist and soprano – Lucia, about whom today very little is known, and in fact we can never hope to know everything about her. Lucia Coppa Rivani (1625-1699) has only left remote traces, inscribed in ink in letters and archival documents.
But through her ambience, and the musical preferences of her patrons, the sound of her world comes forth: the music by her teachers, who trained her as a musician, and the music by the composers whose highly expressive cantatas she performed as a virtuosa at the Medici court of Florence, and in the service of her benefactor, Marchese Filippo Niccolini.
FR - La musique retraçant la vie d'une claveciniste et soprano -Lucia, dont nous savons aujourd’hui bien peu et ne pourrons jamais espérer tout connaître d’elle. Lucia Coppa Rivani (1625-1699) n’a laissé que quelques traces dans des lettres et documents d’archive. Mais par son environnement et les goûts musicaux de ses mécènes, des sonorités de son monde transparaissent : la musique de la génération de ses professeurs et celle des compositeurs aux cantates grandement éloquentes qu’elle chanta comme virtuosa à la cour des Medici à Florence et au service de son mécène le marquis Filippo Niccolini.
DE - Musik entlang der musikalischen Lebenslinie einer Cembalistin und Sängerin – Lucia, über die wir so manches wissen und niemals alles wissen werden. Lucia Coppa Rivani (1625–1699) hat nur in Schriftstücken, Briefen wie Archivdokumenten, Spuren hinterlassen. Anhand ihres musikalischen Umfelds und des Musikgeschmacks ihrer Mäzene jedoch wandelt sich die Szene in Klang: in Musik der Generation ihrer Lehrer, die sie prägte, und Musik der Komponisten, deren ausdrucksstarke Kantaten sie als virtuosa in Florenz am Hof der Medici und im Dienst ihres Gönners Marchese Filippo Niccolini sang.
